Family Centered Events and Partnerships
• Plan and conduct regional Family Center events.
• Recruit additional partners from business, labor, religious and nonprofit sectors.
Workforce Development
• Expand and improve JobPath through increased City/County/State/Federal funding.
• Support increased investment in workforce development among partner agencies (Pima County Workforce Investment
• Advocate for a three year expansion of local funding for Adult Education Programs.
Immigration
• Conduct Immigrant Integration workshops in institutions/organizations in Metro Tucson.
• Conduct Immigrant Toolkit workshops in institutions with immigrant families.
• Ensure training on visas for all City and County law enforcement personnel for victims of serious crimes.
• Advocate for comprehensive immigration reform.
Elder Care / Care of Vulnerable
• Support efforts to increase the number of attendant care workers to meet the demand.
• Advocate for expanded training and improved quality of care.
• Raise awareness of elder/vulnerable care issues in community-based institutions.
• Establish Citizens Oversight Committee for Pima Health Systems Attendant Care Program.
Children and Youth Programs
• Secure Pima County funding for St. John’s Park.
• Support expansion and quality improvement of Kidco after school and summer programs.
• Expand and improve School Plus Jobs, an after school employment program.
Crime, Housing, Neighborhood Infrastructure
• Expand prevention programs.
• Support Weed & Seed.
• Promote Housing Trust Funds at local, state and federal levels.
