How is PCIC funded?

Three primary sources of funding underwrite the PCIC budget of approximately $300,000:

  • Dues from member institutions (1% of a member institution’s operating budget as a guideline)
  • Business and private party contributions
  • Foundations

PCIC is a non-partisan organization that does not accept government funding of any kind.

Approximately 80% of PCIC’s budget is used to employ full time organizers skilled in the work of community leadership development and engagement. The remainder is for office administration and communications. The PCIC Steering Committee hires/fires the Lead Organizer and is responsible for policy and oversight.
