St. John the Evangelist Catholic School and St. John's Catholic Church are hoping to turn their back lot at Ajo and 12th Avenue into the newest park in this southside neighborhood.

Proponents say it can make a very positive difference in the lives of local residents, many who are living at or below the federal poverty level. They say the park can provide a safe, comfortable place for families to exercise and enjoy themselves since many don't have the means to get to other parks. Back to top
