PCIC Conducts a City-Wide Neighborhood Walk

500 PCIC Leaders from 31 institutions took to the streets of Metro Tucson on March 29, going door-to-door and engaging in face-to face conversations in approximately 7,000 homes.

Over the course of the Economic Meltdown, media attention has focused on government efforts to shore up financial institutions deemed “too large to fail”. Meanwhile, the needs of ordinary citizens remain largely ignored. Families have had few opportunities to voice their concerns to elected officials. PCIC has stepped into this vacuum to bring the difficulties of ordinary Tucsonans into focus.

With this vast pool of information now gathered, PCIC Leaders will present their findings to Tucon's elected officials at a Leaders Assembly at Our Mother of Sorrows Church on April 16.
