“PCC is excited to enhance our connection to PCICEO through this Memorandum of Understanding,” Chancellor Lee D. Lambert says. “This strategic relationship will increase the capacity of both parties to serve the residents of Pima County and benefit our students.”
The first collaborative activity will be to support Advocates for PCC, a new group started by students, in a major voter registration campaign for students centered on the National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) in September. Among the topics that may be explored by PCC and PCICEO are community training and education, multi-level advocacy, and more.
PCICEO is the new educational sister organization of the Pima County Interfaith Council (PCIC). PCIC was founded in 1990 and celebrated its 25th anniversary in March. PCICEO is a non-partisan, broad-based non-profit organization engaged in civic education of Pima County communities. PCICEO provides skill training and development, establishes and evaluates community-based initiatives, and conducts research and advocacy on various issues impacting local communities.
